The goal of the Bachelor of Science in General Education Major in Educational Management is to prepare and produce capable, skillful, and dynamic educational leaders for a diverse society. Through the use of theory and practice, PIC aims to develop and change agents and role models for socially-just educational systems. Work offered for Educational Management major is primarily for graduate students working toward the Master of Arts, Doctor of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

The Department of Educational Management prepares:

  • Personnel for administrative positions in the public schools
  • Administrator positions in higher education
  • Educational management specialists for non-school positions in business, industry, and government

In addition, the department provides service courses in the social, historical, and philosophical foundations of education at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
